Nestled at an elevation of 6562 ft, this Himalayan village is about 4 kms from Mcleodganj Main Square and can be reached by trekking or hiring a cab/auto-rickshaw. Naddi is still an untouched thus perfect place to unwind amidst nature. Let’s explore this quaint mountain village!

Naddi View Point

This is the most beautiful option for sightseeing in Naddi village. From here you can see the mesmerizing peaks of Dhauladhar ranges periodically romancing with clouds. There is a short trek going up to Sahaja Yoga Ashram, a meditation centre set amidst serene hills and lush green forest. You will find few small eateries along this short trail.

Unlike other parts of Dharamsala where you will find mostly Himachali & Buddhists, Naddi is mainly comprised of people with Punjabi dialect. You can see a perfect blend of Himachali and Punjabi culture over here. Living in a holiday home with the locals will be an extraordinary experience.

Naddi also act as a starting point for various adventurous treks such Triund & Indrahar Pass, Kareri Lake trek, and Guna Mata temple. For Triund trek I visited from Dharamkot, another offbeat place near Mcleodganj. Thus, this quaint Himalayan village is an ideal place for backpackers & adventure enthusiasts.

Another option for sightseeing in Naddi is a small waterfall for which you will have to trek down into the valley. All the major places to explore are located at a walking distance from main taxi stand.

Dal Lake In Himachal Pradesh

Yes! You read it right. Everyone is familiar with the famous Dal Lake in Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir). But only few know there’s another lake by the same name in Himachal Pradesh. Situated in the foothills of Naddi village, Dal Lake is an ideal place to spend some leisure time. Surrounded by thick deodar forest & hills, one can take a quick walk around the lake in utmost tranquility.
